We had a payment webhook, a nightly backup and an on-call rota spread across three tools, and the only one that ever woke anybody was the one nobody could silence. Acciti is the part we actually needed: one endpoint, five priorities, and a ladder that keeps climbing until a human answers.
The problem
Email is not an alert and a chat message is not either. The tools that do wake people are priced for companies with an operations team, and the failure they all miss is the quiet one: a job that stops running raises nothing, because nothing happened.
The approach
Swift on the server and SwiftUI on the devices, so the notification service extension that draws the Acknowledge button shares its types with the code that sent the push. Two processes, because accepting a send and delivering one scale on different things.
What runs today
Five priorities, acknowledge and snooze from the banner, heartbeats for the jobs that fail by going quiet, on-call rotations with escalation, and eight signed connectors including App Store Server Notifications and Provisore.
What it does
Emergencies that climb
An unacknowledged emergency repeats, then wakes the next person on the rota. Answering is a button on the notification, not an unlocked phone and a search.
Heartbeats
A job checks in on a schedule. When it stops, Acciti is what notices, which is the one failure nothing else reports.
Connectors
GitHub, Stripe, Sentry, Grafana, Better Stack, Provisore and App Store Server Notifications arrive as correctly shaped alerts with no rules to write.
App Store notifications
A subscription, a renewal or a refund becomes a push. An iOS-only developer has no server to put a webhook handler in, and this is that server.
Quiet hours
Set on the device that makes the noise. Ordinary alerts wait in the inbox; the top two priorities go through regardless.
Receipts per device
Whether an alert arrived has an answer, for every device it was sent to.
