Most households keep their recipes in screenshots, bookmarks and a drawer of handwritten cards. MealFoundry puts them in one place, and the weekly plan turns them into a shopping list, so nobody has to decide dinner at five in the afternoon.
The problem
Cooking is the easy part of dinner. The hard part is agreeing on what to eat and writing the list from scratch, every week.
The approach
One Swift backend and one OpenAPI contract, with two clients on top. The Apple app is SwiftUI and the web app is React, and neither is a wrapper around the other.
What runs today
A recipe library, a weekly plan with shared and split days, shopping lists that add quantities together, and a pantry that subtracts from them. All of it in ten languages.

Structured ingredients and steps, collections, and a search that finds the dish again in seconds.
Weekly plan
Drag dishes onto the week. Split a day per person, or let everyone eat the same thing.
Self-writing shopping list
The week adds up into one list, grouped the way you walk through the shop.
Pantry
A light count of your staples, so the list skips whatever is already in the cupboard.
Passwordless sign-in
Sign in with a link sent to your email. There is no password to forget or leak.
Ten languages
The whole app, down to the error messages, is maintained in ten languages.
