MealFoundry keeps recipes, the weekly plan, the shopping list and the pantry together, on the web and on iPhone, iPad and Mac. Plan the week and the shopping list writes itself. Stock the pantry and it gets shorter.

In most homes the recipes live in screenshots, browser bookmarks and a drawer of handwritten cards. MealFoundry gives them one home and turns the weekly plan into a shopping list, so nobody has to invent dinner at five in the afternoon.
The problem
Cooking is the easy part of dinner. The hard part is agreeing on what to eat and writing the shopping list from nothing, every single week.
The approach
One Swift backend behind one OpenAPI contract, with two clients on top: a SwiftUI app for Apple devices and a React app for the browser. Neither is a wrapper around the other.
What runs today
A recipe library, a weekly plan with shared and split days, shopping lists that add quantities together, and a pantry that subtracts what you already have. All of it in ten languages.

Ingredients and steps as structured data, collections to sort them into, and a search that finds the dish again in seconds.
Weekly plan
Drag dishes onto the days. Split a day per person when you disagree, or let everyone eat the same.
A list that writes itself
The week adds up into one shopping list, grouped the way you walk through the shop.
Pantry
A light count of your staples, so the list skips what is already in the cupboard.
No passwords
Sign in with a link sent to your email. There is nothing to forget and nothing to leak.
Ten languages
The whole app, error messages included, is maintained in ten languages.
